Baptized into the Norwegian Lutheran Church, confirmed and married in the Wisconsin Lutheran Church, I didn’t know where I would attend church in San Diego. While we lived in North Park, I went to different churches, but didn’t join any.

Then we moved to Poway. We attended many churches in our search. The only one we felt truly welcomed in was Mount Olive. When Rev. Lehenbauer, Mona, his wife and Betty Kausch visited us, we knew we had found our church home. They were joyful in their faith and that’s what I wanted, too.

Forty-six years later, I’m still at Mount Olive and definitely joyful in my faith.
